Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a patient-centred discipline that is based on understanding the relationship between structure and function in order to enhance the body’s inherent ability to heal. It relies on skilled manual therapeutic techniques to assess and treat the client, guiding the natural self-healing properties of the human body.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.

Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved; and physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of Massage Therapy.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a holistic, natural, and non-invasive therapy that nurtures well-being by stimulating reflex zones on the feet, hands, ears, and face which correspond to glands, organs, and parts of the body. By applying precise pressure to these reflex points, reflexology stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation, improving circulation, reducing pain, and supporting the optimal function of the body’s various systems.

Following illness, stress, injury, surgery, or imbalance, vital functions may become disrupted, preventing the body from operating at its best. Reflexology aims to restore and maintain the body’s natural balance while facilitating the healing process.

Reflexology can be beneficial for (but not only):     •    Stress and anxiety management     •    Musculoskeletal pain     •    Functional disorders (digestive, urinary, circulatory, hormonal and fertility-related issues)     •    Support for chronic conditions     •    Psychological, physical, and emotional balance     •    Sports preparation and recovery

Reflexology is not covered by OHIP but is covered by a number of insurance companies across Canada. Please check with your individual insurance policy. Receipts will be issued as a Reflexology treatment.
